What is the Slaughter Solution??

You can read about Louise Slaughter at wikipedia or the last paragraph reads as follows:

In March 2010, Slaughter proposed that a House rule be passed to expedite the passage of health care reform legislation. The “Slaughter Solution” called for the House to approve a rule for debate deeming the Senate version of the health care reform bill “already passed” by the House without the House holding a recorded vote on the bill. The Senate version was unpopular due to such provisions as the so-called “Cornhusker Kickback”. Critics charged this proposed strategy was an affront to democratic principles and unconstitutional.

In other words, if the House (of clowns) votes on an Amendment to a bill, the Bill is assumed to have been approved.  WITHOUT voting on the original bill!!!!   HUHhhhhh?

My only question to the democrats, considering this manuever, is not “do they think it is constitutional?”

It is, “Are you going to like it WHEN the Republicans use this same manuever for a bill that you do not like???”

Well, your answer to that question should be enlightening for the American public.  You know, those people who YOU represent.
